Reports to CEO and Board of Directors
Role Overview:
- The Chief Financial Officer Group (CFO Group) is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, providing strategic financial leadership, and ensuring the organization’s financial health and growth
- The Group CFO will work closely with the CEO, the Board of Directors, and the executive team to drive financial performance, manage risks, and support the company’s long-term strategy
Key Responsibilities: - Investor Relations Serve as the primary contact for investors, analysts, and financial institutions, providing transparent and accurate financial information
- Fundraising manage fundraising activities, prepare data and lead the negotiations with potential investors
- Treasury and liquidity management manage the day-to-day operations of the Group, ensure that every company of the Group receives funding on time for uninterrupted and smooth operations, and that the bills are paid on time
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with Group companies long-term goals
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure financial targets are met
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Managerial Reporting develop company management information system, develop and improve management reports, ensuring data consistency and reliability
- Financial Risk Management Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including currency fluctuations, interest rate risks, and credit risks
- Capital Management Manage capital structure and funding strategies, including debt, equity, and working capital management - Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including accounting standards and corporate governance requirements
- International taxes Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, build multi-country Group structure to minimize tax burden
- Mergers & Acquisitions Lead financial due diligence and integration processes for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions
- Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
- Technology & Innovation Leverage financial technology and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making across the finance function
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior financial roles, with at least 5 years as a CFO or equivalent in a similar-sized organization
- Certifications: CPA, CFA, or other relevant financial certifications are highly desirable
- Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, strategic thinking, and business acumen; strong leadership and team management abilities; excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., ERP systems, financial planning tools) and advanced Excel skills
- Personal Attributes High integrity, results-driven, with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Accuracy and timeliness of financial and management reporting
- Effective management of financial risks
- Successful completion of strategic financial initiatives (e.g., M&A or fundraising activities)
- Employee engagement and development within the finance team
- Stakeholder satisfaction, including investors and the Board
