QUORUS QUYOSH LTD is a subsidiary of a Zurich-based Swiss law firm QUORUS GmbH that advises international private clients on Swiss and cross-border legal and compliance matters.
As part of our expansion strategy in Central Asia, we are strengthening our presence in Uzbekistan and supporting foreign companies and investors with legal services related to their activities in the region, as well as assissting Uzbek-domiciled clients with the legal and compliance matters outside of their homecountry.
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified lawyer with up to 2–3 years of post-qualification experience who combines strong legal skills with excellent interpersonal abilities and the confidence to work independently.
The successful candidate will primarily contribute to the firm’s business development initiatives in Uzbekistan and, as the role evolves, support the team in handling existing client mandates.
As part of the onboarding process, the successful candidate will complete a one-month internship at our office in Switzerland to gain first-hand exposure to the firm’s practice, standards, and international approach to client service.
Key Responsibilities
• Work on existing client mandates involving Uzbekistan and cross-border matters
• Provide legal support and advice to international clients regarding legal and regulatory issues in Uzbekistan
• Collaborate with colleagues from the Swiss office on international projects
• Contribute to the development of the firm’s presence and client base in Uzbekistan
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and professional networks
• Prepare legal research, draft legal opinions, memorandums, reports, and other documentation in English, Uzbek and Russian languages
• Participate in the preparation of client proposals and business development initiatives
Requirements
• Law degree obtained in Uzbekistan
• Maximum 2-3 years of professional experience in legal consulting, an international law firm, or an international company
• Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework in Uzbekistan
• Experience working with private clients or on cross-border matters is an advantage
• Fluent English, Uzbek and Russian (working languages)
• German is a strong advantage
• Strong soft skills, including communication, proactivity, reliability, and the ability to work in an international environment and build client relationships
