Role Purpose
The Marketplace Specialist supports marketplace performance and optimization activities in the assigned market, with a strong focus on monitoring supply and demand, executing operational programs, and maintaining data-driven visibility into platform health. This role acts as an individual contributor delivering hands-on analysis, reporting, and project execution under the guidance of the Marketplace Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Marketplace Monitoring & Analysis

Track and report on key marketplace metrics, including driver online rate, promo burn rate, trip volume, fulfillment rate, rider wait time, and marketplace efficiency.

Conduct data analysis to identify operational gaps and market trends, escalating findings and recommendations to the Marketplace Manager.

Support the execution of marketplace optimization initiatives defined by the Marketplace Manager.

Maintain dashboards and reporting tools to ensure accurate, up-to-date visibility into marketplace performance.
Driver Supply & Engagement Support

Support coordination with Operations team to help maintain adequate driver supply during peak periods and across strategic service areas.

Assist in the execution and tracking of driver incentive schemes and engagement programs, including data collection and eligibility checks.

Monitor incentive program performance and prepare spending efficiency analysis for review by the Marketplace Manager.
Marketplace Campaign Execution

Execute marketplace campaigns, surge configurations, and demand stimulation activities as directed by the Marketplace Manager.

Coordinate with Growth and Marketing teams on campaign timing to align rider acquisition activities with driver supply availability.

Support the rollout of pricing and promotional initiatives, and track results against expected outcomes.
Data Analytics & Risk Monitoring

Use operational data and analytical tools to flag anomalies, inefficiencies, and potential fraudulent activity within the marketplace.

Support Product, Data, and Regional teams in testing and refining marketplace monitoring and anti-fraud processes.

Prepare regular reports and operational insights to support data-driven decision-making across the team.
Cross-functional Coordination

Act as a day-to-day point of contact for marketplace-related queries from Operations, Product, Growth, and Regional teams.

Contribute to cross-functional projects by providing data support, documentation, and follow-up on action items.

Support the Team Lead/Manager in preparing materials for business planning and operational reviews.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field.

1–2 years of experience in Marketplace Operations, Business Operations, Analytics, or platform-based businesses; strong internship experience will also be considered.

Exposure to ride-hailing, delivery, logistics, e-commerce, or other on-demand platforms is a plus.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data interpretation; familiarity with SQL or BI tools is an advantage.

Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple operational tasks accurately and on time.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly data-driven environment.
