The Physical Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the physical security program for the Data Center in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The role ensures the protection of employees, visitors, facilities, critical infrastructure and Company assets while maintaining compliance with corporate security standards and applicable local regulations.
The Physical Security Manager will oversee security operations, manage outsourced security service providers, maintain physical security systems, conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, and work closely with Operations, Engineering, Construction, IT, HR and HSE teams to ensure a safe, secure and resilient operating environment.
Qualifications and Education- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Law Enforcement, Military Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- Professional qualifications in Corporate Security, Risk Management or Physical Security are considered an advantage.
- CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or PSP (Physical Security Professional).
- Knowledge of ISO 27001 and ISO 22301.
- Fire & Life Safety training.
- Emergency Response and Crisis Management training.
- Business Continuity Management knowledge.
- Fluent English.
- Russian language is preferred.
- Uzbek language is an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in physical or corporate security.
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in critical infrastructure, data centers, telecommunications, utilities, oil & gas, aviation or large industrial facilities is preferred.
- Experience managing outsourced security providers and service contracts.
- Experience developing and implementing security policies, procedures and standards.
- Experience conducting security risk assessments, incident investigations and emergency response activities.
- Practical experience with Access Control Systems (ACS), CCTV, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Visitor Management Systems and other physical security technologies.
- Knowledge of local security regulations and international security standards is preferred.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement and continuously improve physical security policies, procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) for the Data Center.
- Ensure compliance with Company security standards, customer requirements and applicable local regulations.
- Develop and implement site security strategies to protect employees, visitors, facilities, critical infrastructure and Company assets.
- Manage outsourced security providers, ensuring high service quality, contractual compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Conduct regular security audits, inspections and security risk assessments, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Access Control Systems (ACS), CCTV, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Visitor Management Systems and other physical security technologies.
- Lead investigations of security incidents, policy violations and other security-related events, ensuring proper documentation and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and monitor security Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for management.
- Lead, coach and develop the site security team while promoting a strong security culture across the organization.
- Deliver security awareness programs and emergency response training for employees, contractors and visitors.
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Construction, IT, HR and HSE teams to ensure safe and uninterrupted business operations.
- Provide security guidance during construction, commissioning, expansion and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate emergency response activities and act as the primary escalation point during security incidents.
- Develop, maintain and periodically test emergency response and business continuity procedures related to physical security.
- Manage employee, contractor and visitor access control processes across the site.
- Liaise with government authorities, law enforcement agencies, emergency services and regulatory bodies on security-related matters.
- Monitor regional security risks and industry trends, recommending improvements to strengthen the Company's overall security posture.
- Prepare and manage the annual security budget and ensure effective utilization of security resources.
- Ensure all security documentation, records and reports are maintained accurately and in accordance with Company requirements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager in support of the Company's operational and security objectives.
