The company is a dynamic, fast-growing European trade startup specializing in the multi-channel distribution of fine spirits and premium beverages. Operational for more then 1 year on the market, the company has set a clear strategic goal to scale the business 10x over the next few years.

The business model of the company is built on three core pillars: B2B wholesale, and robust B2C offline & online operations. With a high-performing customized website, a powerful technical backend, nationwide shipping across Poland, and a proprietary mobile app launching soon, the company operate at the intersection of traditional trade and cutting-edge e-commerce.

About the Position

The company is looking for a highly strategic, commercially driven, and execution-focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to take complete ownership of the financial health, planning, and structural optimization of our company.

As the first dedicated CFO, you will act as the primary strategic business partner to the CEO, establishing institutional-grade financial discipline. We are looking for a true "financial architect" with strong business acumen who can optimize company’s cost structure, ensure strict compliance with Polish tax laws, and actively steer the company toward profitable 10x scaling.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at the headquarters in Warsaw.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership: Partner with the executive team to chart the strategic path for expansion, defining critical KPIs, managing budgets, and forecasting growth trajectories.

Tax and Expense Optimization: Take full ownership of tax planning and structural optimization in strict compliance with Polish and European tax regulations. Critically review, monitor, and optimize operational expenditures.

Financial Governance & Controls: Establish robust accounting, internal reporting, and auditing procedures. Manage cash flow, working capital (inventory management, stock turnover, and payment terms), and overall P&L.

Funding & Liquidity: Secure necessary credit lines, trade financing, and external financial instruments to fuel aggressive growth plans.

Business & Commercial Partnership: Work closely with commercial and operations teams to guide pricing strategies, evaluate promotional ROI, and improve B2B and B2C unit economics.

Requirements

Professional Experience: Proven background in senior financial leadership roles (CFO, Finance Director, or senior-level Head of Finance) with a focus on commercial growth.

Industry Expertise: Strong experience within retail, FMCG (beverage/alcohol trading is a significant advantage), distribution, or high-growth e-commerce startups.

Polish Market Fluency: Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of Polish tax law, statutory accounting standards, and local corporate financial frameworks.

Strategic & Hands-on Mindset: Exceptional analytical capabilities coupled with a willingness to operate in a lean, fast-paced startup environment.

Language Skills: Working proficiency in English, Russian. Knowledge of Polish is essential for navigating local regulatory environments.

Conditions:

Compensation: A base salary of €5,000 per month with performance-based growth bonuses.
